"Transparent Turquoise" - This algae-laden remote lake exudes its natural beauty in this clear July morning. The seven minute topographical maps list this as Upper Red Pine Lake. The hike normally takes two days to reach this location.


"Roadside Snow" - High up in the altitudes of the Wasatch range, Old Man Winter lingers even in the late spring. That year an estimated 1100 inches of snow fell; blog host had to snowshoe to arrive at this remote location.
